The Haunted Mansion's hanging body in the stretching room may be removed...

I just read that Disney is considering removing the hanging corpse. I read some time ago that people were complaining that it was triggering guests who lost loved ones to suicide...

Thoughts? I'd hate to see it go, but then no one I know committed suicide.

I read that earlier,to be honest I think it's ridiculous to remove it.It has always been there and sadly suicides have too.

Sadly have lost a couple of people I know to suicide and one was by hanging but I would not want this to be removed , I personally don’t find it triggering.

I think Phantom Manor has way more morbid content (the rotting corpses rising from caskets for instance).

Wow, didn't know that!

I suppose the hanging scene just doesn't seem in tone with the rest of the ride. Rest is very tongue in cheek in cartoon like. But the hanging scene to me doesn't fit that light hearted tone. Equally I don't think it adds much so removal doesn't detract from the ride in my opinion. But I'm one of those people who's all for changes to modernise and update rides like Jungle Cruise, I do understand some people want to preserve the rides they grew up loving.

Truly woke - under the guise of 'update and modernise'

It's not cancel culture or being woke, it's being respectful. I don't see the problem, does a hanging body really fit into the rest of the attraction! probably not, I daresay it will be replaced with something haunting. IMHO I think this time Disney are correct to consider this change.
