Grandson just turned 3 when we go - Ticket query

We are going back to Florida next year and our eldest grandson turns 3 only weeks before we travel.

Would we be likely to get away with not buying him tickets for the theme parks? Obviously being able to save over £700 would be ideal but not sure if it’s worth risking.

Thanks in advance

The official line is three and over need a ticket. You could, however unlikely it maybe, be checked.

This thread will also probably get closed as anyone telling you you will be fine will get called out for telling you to 'cheat the system'.

If your grandson turns 3 before the beginning of your holiday then he will need a child's ticket.

We know he will need a ticket but we are asking what is the likelihood they will check? Does anyone have any experience of this?

Appreciate not everybody agrees we should try “cheating” the system but he won’t be going on anymore rides than he would have had his birthday been a week after our holiday so effectively he’s still visiting as an under 3 year old

He's not effectively under three, he will be three. Why not move the holiday a couple of weeks so he's two still?

I get what your saying but where do you draw line when he is 3 and 6 months or jjst before 4. At end day he is 3 and should have a ticket bought.

He's not under three. I would have hated to take my kids and not get them a ticket.
I'd be too worried, it's too big a deal of a holiday to be wondering and worrying what if. Three year olds are proud of telling people how old they are!

I don’t think it is worth risking either. No matter how tempting to save money it would spoil my holiday worrying. They will ask your grandson how old he is not one of the adults. Little ones are very proud when they have just had a birthday !

Our was son was 2 months shy of being 3 when we last went and probably a little taller than average, no one ever questioned his age. Obviously you’d just have to weigh up is it worth it if someone did ask 🙈

Last time we went we all had to show ID on the first day of using our tickets. I could understand asking if the child turned 3 on the last day of being there, wondering if you could get away with it, but if he is 3 before he even goes then he needs a ticket
