Is An Apple Watch Worth It?

I have become interested in buying an apple watch. However I'm unsure if I'll like it. I have a nice watch I wear when going out and so I'm not sure I'll love a bulky apple watch. However there are certain features that attract me, and I'm thinking I'll generally wear it while out and about rather than to somewhere nice.

Would anyone recommend an apple watch? Or is there anyone that bought it and didn't get a lot of use out of it?

Thank you

I get hubby’s hand me down Apple Watch. I like it but it’s some getting used to since I have never been a watch wearer.

I get palpitations so it does the ecg for me.
Also I can get messages to it while I’m at work etc rather than phone.
Also step counter etc.
So for me I like it but I am happy with the older generation one that’s about £100 second hand rather than like my hubby who likes the new shiny one for £400 etc

DH and I have both had one for years now with both of us on our second one. He has the latest one where as mine is a couple of years old now but it does enough for me. The main thing for me is I can see messages/phone calls at work and decide if I need to answer as I have my phone on silent in work.

I felt like you until DH bought me one a few years ago, now I wear it every day as it’s just so handy. I count my steps, get messages, use it for Apple Pay... I don’t think I could do without one now. I have an Omega watch that I wear if I am dressed up to go out somewhere nice but I don’t think it’s been out of it’s box in the last 12 months.😂

Just for the fact you can use it to pay contactless so easily in a shop, and with new iOS update it can unlock your phone when you have a mask on without having to use passcode, makes it a god send to me.

Had one for years and wouldn’t be without it. Messages, phonecalls pops up and you can decide to reach for the phone or not. Even answeted calls on it when I wasn’t near the phone. I measure heart rate and ecg (have some health issues). Track exercise and it encourages me to take breaks and stand up. Sold my Omega last year as it was just sitting in a box.

My daughter wanted one for her 21st with a pink strap. She loves it especially as she has changed its setting to Mickey .

I love mine and have had it for years. I’m not a jewellery or watch person. I have the smaller watch face and the provided straps are quite soft to wear (this was very important to me as I get agitated if things are too tight and my wrists swell easily).

The main features I use are being able to see texts/phone calls and decide if I need to reply or can leave it until later.

I use the fitness element daily and also link (via several different app’s, it’s complicated!) my daughters blood sugar levels onto my watch face so I can monitor her levels real time.

Love mine, and also, you can ‘bling’ them up with nice swarovski covers to make them more attractive.

Another loyal Apple Watch wearer here. I love it for Apple Pay and deciding it I want to answer someone’s message - it lets me read the message on my watch face without it actually showing as ‘read’ to the sender 😂

I’m also a runner/gym goer so I love it for the fitness features too.

Find it really intuitive to use - same as any Apple tech really.
