Telling strangers you love them

To bring happiness into peoples lives I'm considering telling every person I meet that I love them. This might be the people I see when I'm walking my dog, the people I see going to the shops or even the people who are pulled up alongside me at traffic lights.

Would you tell strangers you love them?

You have a big generous heart Mickey but don’t do it, there are too many people willing to take offence at a kind hearted gesture like you are proposing. I love all the girls on here, witty, kind , generous and awesome all of you.

While I wouldn't say I would get particularly 'offended' by a stranger saying this in situations like you described, I would probably feel a bit uncomfortable (more so if it was a male).

What's got into you lately? You are a southerner, you have forgotten the basic rules - do not look at strangers, do not acknowledge strangers and above all DO NOT SPEAK to strangers. If you have to engage with strangers, for example in a restaurant you are distant and polite and do not make eye contact or casual conversation!
