Are Madrid the toe post ones? I try and get the ones with the non leather toe posts. (Gizeh and papillon version of gizeh too)
Thanks, I'll try that once my foot is healed!

Madrids are the one strap ones, no toe posts.

I have worn Birki's for probably for the last 15 or so years. Now 99% of the time and also use them as slippers in doors. I prefer the Sydney or Arizona 2 strap style and also have a couple of the 3 strap ones, oh, and a couple of pairs of leather clog ones usually worn in winter.
I think all of mine over the years have been bought in some sort of sale or reduced on Amazon... (I would however pay full price if I ran out of my spare ones lolol)

I live in Birks, the double strap ones. I have arthritis in my feet and my specialist says they’re really good. Not allowed the single strap ones.

I love my birkenstocks. I have one pair of the Arizona style and they go with absolutely everything. They're over 2 years old now and look way better with age.
I agree with previous posters that they take a while to break in. Mine took weeks but I persevered, totally worth it.
I don't know the difference in wide and narrow but they are super comfy once you get used to them. Since we've been in lockdown they're basically all I wear

I love Birkenstocks and prefer the ones with higher straps e.g. Gizeh or Arizona.

I don't find I need to wear in a new pair these days and always take on holiday even if just to wear in evenings as they resolve tired legs and achy knees or ankles.

They have support at both the arch and the toe so you need to get a size where that distance is comfortable for you without your foot rubbing on the raised edge of the footbed. So I normally wear size 5.5 to 6 (Euro 39) in other shoes but need a 5 (38) to be comfortable in Birkenstocks.

I wear mine for years until they fall apart (usually the cork footbed cracks first) but I do find they get a bit whiffy after a while, but that might just be me. (Copious amounts of odoreaters footspray helps - I tried regular deodorant once but the shoes just slid off my feet while walking! )

I am a Birkies convert from Fit Flops! In March I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis which affects my toes and I was finding gripping the base of my Fit Flops painful so dragged out an old pair of Birkies to try and they are now like slippers!

I am now breaking in these beauties

I live in Birkies in the Summer (the thong ones) I have flat feet and with the support they give me I can wear them every day all day and my feet feel like they have been floating on a cloud . I have a pair in every colour they do - infact I found I have 3 pairs of mid brown and 2 black so much have ordered too many lol
