How do Magic Bands Work for Multiple Resorts

We had a minor issue this year. We had magic bands from our SSR stay. Checked into BWV and went to the park. Most of us wearing our ssr bands. We got Into the park fine but when we returned only the person wearing the new magic band could open our room door.
We went to guest services and he said the tickets and the hotels are on separate systems. And for some reason the open door flag wasn't set on our old bands. He was able to fix it though.

We buy our tickets separately from our room stay so it may work differently if you have a package booked.

So glad its sorted now as was slightly annoying, the CM made me aware my new band wouldn't work for my ticket when checking out and I actually thought she'd got it wrong, went to enter the park and couldn't get in and neither could my friend and felt like a lemon for not believing her haha

Oh this is good to know. We've got our old magic bands which we'll use for the first few days of our trip to go to the parks when we're in a villa. Then we're checking in to a Disney hotel for a night so we'll get a second set but we'll already have started to use our tickets. Good to now we can just switch between the bands.
