First DVC booking a bit confused need help

Hi I’m new to DVC and would like to make a booking for October 2021. I have 100 points with an August use year, use by August 2021 so do I have to bank these into the next year before I can make a booking and will I be able to use all 100 points or will they be classed as borrowing? Hope this makes sense to someone lol any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes if they are for use by Aug 2021 then you will need to bank them.

You can use all of your banked points but you can only borrow 50% of your future points.

So you could use upto 250 points in oct 21. 100 banked. 100 current 50 borrowed.

You have to get your mind thinking that your points "just" need to be available to use for your booking- for an August UY you can basically start from Sept. Things would be slightly easier if they allowed the "bank" points to be used similarly to "Borrowed" in that you didn't have to physically Bank them first. But basically once banked they become your "Use" portion of your booking
