Usually around the 12/14 of December for me, always at the weekend. This year I have just ordered my real tree to be delivered on the 5th. After both dmil and dm passing away last Christmas, under 2 weeks apart and this horrible COVID year we have all had, I want to put it up early this year to try and cheer ourselves up.

DD has put her bedroom tree up this afternoon
We did dress the staircase with lighted garlands on Saturday and had a tree arch delivered last week which Dh put up to check that it was ok, it’s staying up now as we love it !  Not the best picture, I will post another later if I remember |

We normally put ours up around 1st December. But its been such a rubbish year, we put it up today. We all feel nice and festive now 🥰🎄

I would usually have done 7th when I lived at home. However it was tradition in my OHs house to have the tree up before what would have been his mums birthday (her preference) so it has to go up on the 1st, for all secs to be completed on the 2nd. Her birthday would have been the 3rd.
