But Mr T , they can be used to switch the lights on , the heating ( works with our Hive ) ask general knowledge questions , answer the phone , ask Mr Snowbelle to bring me a coffee when he is in the kitchen

I have raised my voice to her in the past and she apologies and that makes me feel bad

I’d like one with a clock to replace my radio alarm. I only keep it because of the clock display. I can’t see a dot with a clock on the website though?

There’s an echo show for £39.99. I assume this is a good deal? Says RRP £79.99.

I really like the look of that but I’ve gone ahead and ordered the Show 5 for £39.99. If I’m honest I doubt I’ll use it for anything other than the clock!

I'm advised we need 2 of these to replace our Sony radio alarm clocks. Why I dont know as we don't use the radio or the clocks.

I scoffed at getting one for years then we had to get them for my Father an dit was great for him to use them to call us etc. Now I use the for ordering form amazon, Reading my announcements, weather, ordering cabs, listing to radio (not always music stations but Radio 4 when I wake up) - to be honest I would be lost without it now (I have one in every room except bathrooms - All with different wake up names tho lol)

I’ve bought 2 for 2 of my grandsons (Christmas pressies)... we have a 3 bedroom bungalow and have an echo with speaker, an echo show in our bedroom and echo dots in the other 2 bedrooms and in the kitchen... and we use them every day... controls living room lamps, turns on electric blanket, all the bedroom lights, music (we like to listen to a local radio station based near Southampton/Portsmouth), tells us if actors have died or how old they are when we’re watching tv, alarms and reminders, how many sleeps till Christmas etc, etc...
