Are Disney being lenient at all with DVC points?
So we recently closed on our first DVC contract and have booked to go April - May next year. The slight issue with this is we are from the UK (just posted from an American forum!) so might not yet be able to get there...
Our contract came with 41 2019 points (which I have rented out) and 122 banked 2020 points with a Feb UY which would mean we need to use by 31st January 2021. Now we are hopefully using these on our 2021 April trip and have been used for our booking so far. I am just thinking if there is no air corridor, we could move to later in the year but if we still cannot go is the only option to rent them? I was just wondering whether Disney has applied any leniency at all, and might allow us to move them into 2022? |

They won't allow what would effectively be 'double banking' now the resorts are open. They did extend some banked points but i think that has now stopped. So yeah, it would be travel before expiry, rent them or transfer to RCI.

Do you mean they would need to be used by January 2022? Points that need to be used by Jan 21 could not be used for an April-May 21 trip.
No, they wont allow double banking, sorry. You would need to rent or RCi. as the above poster advised.

Are the 122 points Feb 2020 use year or Feb 2019 banked into Feb 2020?

Sorry should have been more clear the 41 points are Feb 2019 banked, the 122 points are Feb 2020 banked into 2021 so are being used for our currently booked April trip!
No double banking means we would need to rent them then - thanks for your help. |
