its your footware you need to really consider, trainers are comfortable but may not dry out quickly, flip flop or sandles dry really quickly but maynot be comfortable. Also consider taking a bin liner or similar so you can put your bag or other tings you do not want to get wet in.
If no bags then as mentioned above a ziplock bag is useful for phones etc, or a waterproof pouch.

With flip flops, it can very much depend what you buy.

From April through September I wear Reefs and very rarely anything else when not at work. These are the type with just a strip between Big Toe and next one across. They also have a bottle opener in the sole.

I wear Reefs on vacation throughout, other than when flying (Shoes, Chino’s, Collared shirt). On my last one this included Boston and New York, where at times I was doing well over 30,000 steps per day. No problem at all.

I save a fortune in Socks!

Pro tip: boys - wear under armour type compression shorts under your normal (quick drying) sport shorts. Nice and comfy even when wet. I wear running/gym type shirts and basketball shorts to the parks all the time. I don’t do flip flops but very vented trainers with technical (not cotton) socks.

I've just bought us all waterproof overshoes from Amazon for our trip next summer. Socks and trainers just don't dry. We were getting torrentially soaked in the queue for the haunted mansion and the lady in front of me whipped a pair out of her bag. Think these are going to be water ride game changers!

I'm another one who ended up with purple legs after wearing new dark denim shorts!

I have to say best way we did it - particularly at Universal was take a spare set of underwear shorts and top, and a towel. they don't take up much room. rode all the water rides earlier - rode bluto's barges around 4/5 times and may as well have just jumped in !
when we'd finished them all we just got dried and changed and carried on :-)
