Ah - flew Air Canada last year and my case just fitted their total linear limit of 158cm. Hadn't spotted Virgin was much more generous. My dusty old calculator gives 48.8" as (external) diagonal. Case does expand so may have to resort to empirical methods (with a cutdown old broom handle) to see what fits. Not travelling until November so no doubt will find out peoples' experiences in the coming months

We really want a droid & the excitement was sky high when we saw that you can buy a backpack specifically to carry your droid!

So looks like our hand luggage include one droid in a backpack

So far DH less fussed about the lightsaber but I can see him changing his mind especially if his son gets one. I'll be interested to see how they are transported home.

You guys really aren’t helping like most people I read about $200 plus tax for a light sabre
And thought yeah right!
\now I’m having a hard time talking myself out of it,

Imagine planning a a 6am eemh attend at 6am ride smugglers run, a glass of blue milk before you build a lightsaber just as everyone else is rushing in for a ride

Actually, you might not. The more videos I see, the less sure I am, especially once I looked at the scale of them in someone's hands. They're fairly small for the price.

Yeah I’m going off the droids a bit, they look a bit flimsy, the remote is massive and they don’t really do much.
