Tips, tricks and hidden things to do for non first timers

Hey everyone!

I’m looking for your favourite tips tricks and hidden gems when you go on your trips to Disney and universal! We’ve been multiple times before but it’s always good to hear the things other people do or find! Sometimes the little things you do can create bigger memories than riding the best rides!

Look forward to reading!

1) One afternoon just after lunch we took some Disney transport to a few of the more luxurious resorts to have a nosey around, it was quite good fun actually and nice to appreciate some of the incredible themes in the public areas.

2) I am a massive tennis fan and the missus tolerates it to the extent of always playing one game with me per holiday. We actually had a really lovely morning playing at the courts behind the Boardwalk Villas.

3) One thing we found hilarious was the polite (even more polite at Disney) and funny competitive between Universal and Disney; try wearing really obviously Disney branded things at Universal for potentially some funny encounters with their team members, especially at the Halloween Make Up Show!

Book one night at RPR/HRH or Portofino Resrot Universal to give yourselves 2 x days of FOLP at Universal. Well worth it.

If you're at your hotel or villa and there's a thunderstorm brewing, try booking a fastpass on an outdoor ride like barnstormer that is likely to close due to lightning risk.

If you time it right, you'll get an anytime fastpass to use the next day (we done ours around 6.30 and the park was closing at 8pm that night so the park was effectively closing), if the park is open later and the ride starts up again you might get a same day, it's just your luck with the time of day.

We managed to do it and get an extra 2 each.

That's ingenious, thanks for sharing

Does it just automatically get added to your account if they shut the ride?

We've done this previously we were just trying to work out if we could do it again. Defiantly a good tip!
