Fabulous trippie.

Thank you so much for taking the time to put together such a comprehensive report, especially adding the pictures.

We are considering Dubai in the next couple of years, and we did have our heart set on the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Would you suggest we reconsider? Your hotel looked fabulous and I do fancy all that expanse of water. Failing that we may try the Atlantis, The Palm, which has just opened.

Decisions, decisions... but I do know I want to go even more so now

Thanks again

Atlantis is still under construction. I was surprised to see it as I hadn't heard about it being in Dubai but its shape was unmistakable. According to its website here it isn't opening until Autumn this year (if its on time). Atlantis looks awesome but it might be best to give it a year to bed in first. Unlike in the Bahamas it will not be a casino in Dubai.

There are IMHO better places to stay now then the Jumeirah Beach.

OMG I have LOVED LOVED LOVED reading this.

Dh has always wanted to go to Dubai but we have never gone because I have never fancied it... my mind has now been totally changed!
My dbil and dsil are off to stay at the Jumeraih Beach next week with their two children (8 and 12) so I will have to get them to read this.

Thanks for posting xx

We stayed in the Mina Salam for part of our honeymoon in June 07. Loved it. Have to say though, from the photos, I can't see any difference between your room and the room we had. The towel sculptures are great - we loved the crab on we had!

June in Dubai is an interesting (hot!) experience. The sea is like bath water. Felt very strange!
