I haven’t read all of the replies but I have trichotillimania which is a form of obsessive compulsive disorder and I saw a cognitive behavioural therapist which was extremely helpful. Sounds like you would benefit from similar. I got it on the nhs and didn’t wait long at all.

Depending on where you live you may be able to self refer for talking therapy or CBT. In fact, at my doctors they advised me that I had to self refer.
