The self levelling went down on the floors yesterday then today the kitchen got delivered and they started to install it, good progress!

Smooth floor!

This is great. Your builders seem to be doing a great job and you don’t seem stressed! Which is great. The dust will drive you mad, but will get less and less once it’s finished, and that won’t be long at the rate they are going.

OP. Looking good, God love self leveling compound! Good gear.

Surprised they haven't put a coat of white on the ceiling to seal it. Saves having to cut around the units later. Not an issue but it's so much quicker.

Nice to see a good run of floor units. The one to the left of the window has been cut nicely around the walls. Not going to be easy to get a worktop cut around that bit. That's where a table saw comes into its own.

Granite or traditional tops?

We’re going for acrylic solid surface worktops, a brand called Mistral which has been recommended by our builder.

Looking good, good progress.

Why don’t people put flooring under units?

I do if tile. Not for vinyl or laminate.

I think they said they will put it under the appliances- dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine to make them easier to slide out but not under the units. It’s Quick Step LVT that we are getting.

Yes other than the obvious inconvenience it has been pretty stress free and smooth so far! The dust is bad though, I am looking forward to having the house back to normal!
