Nothing is set in stone. They are guidelines as to what may happen and some things may happen sooner than in the document but similarly they may pull back on some if the Covid numbers aren’t going the right way.

I realise they may move things but comments were really in relation to it being strange that the Aer Lingus was not offering more in changes or info throughout July in view of this newly released plan.

I have to say I was shocked by how restrictive the plan is and for so long especially due to the fall in the official figures.

It will take a while I would guess for AL to react to this. It only came out on Friday and this is a bank holiday weekend. Plus they are already dealing with 1,000’s of refund/ voucher requests. Wouldn’t think they will be rushing to announce cancellations. 🙂

We were due to fly from Dublin to San Francisco on the 22nd May. We made the decision around 3 weeks ago to reschedule our trip to October instead. We were originally going to apply for a refund so that we could get the extra 10% or whatever it is they're offering, but after looking on their Twitter I could see people have been waiting a long time, and we didn't want to be waiting an indefinite amount of time for rebooking.

Not feeling too positive about the whole thing happening today I really really hope it does, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. We had been trying to hold off as long as possible for our original dates to see if they would go ahead, and once I started to realise there were going to be no changes anytime soon we went ahead and rescheduled. Out of curiosity, I did go on to their website last night to check if our original flights were available for booking, and they're not anymore, so at least I know we would never have been able to go for sure!

Hopefully October will happen for you! It is still 5 months away so there is a chance.

It is definitely on their website - big banner at the top.

Do people know if this suggests they will be cancelling all flights up until this date or too early to tell?

We got an email advising we could change dates without fees. We were due to fly on 30th July. Will have to wait to see if the voucher scheme is extended to cover our dates. Am happy to rebook but we can’t go again until summer 2021 and obvs those flights aren’t available to book at the moment

Same here.
We are due to fly on July 16th. IF flights for July 2021 were released, we'd just do a flight change but they aren't, so we'll have to wait to see if we can get a voucher.
