Of course insurer is entitled to know method of payment because as has been reported here and everywhere ad nauseam for last 24 hrs, the Banks, ATOL, ABTA are the primary points of responsibility depending on method of payment and/or exact components of the "package". Only when it's evident they are not responsible - which would need to be proven beyond doubt including proof of payment method - does travel insurance kick in.

Sorry not offering advice. Just saying what I’d do.glad the person got everything sorted with section 75 tho. Hopefully as this unravels everyone will not lose anything.
