Interesting post, but if you write in a public forum you must expect to get different views and opinions and some you won’t like.
I refrain from posting if I don’t agree with the poster unless I have anything to add of value, so I have nothing to add of value on this occasion and I hope you get well soon. |

I agree completely, I have no issue with a different point of view.
Randomly chose Post 24 - "I also think some things might have been annoying but I don't think they are grounds for complaint. In particular, I don't think it is reasonable to expect to use the loos in another cabin, not unless there were none available elsewhere anyway, it is normal for there to be a higher bathroom to passenger ratio in higher cabins. Also I don't think it is reasonable to complain that they didn't kick their staff out of unused PE seats in order to provide passengers with free upgrades." Did not think there were grounds for me to complain, fair enough, that is a point of view. You can agree with it, you can disagree with it. I have no problem with the statement. However to go on to say that I "complained that they didn't kick their staff out of unused PE seats in order to provide passengers with free upgrades." is not what I said happened at all. They had spare seats in PE which they chose to give to non paying staff. There were a number of disabled passengers on board & knowing that 2 toilets were out of order, could have made the decision to move them to PE to have use of a toilet, even if we were told we still had to pay for drinks. To add to this, I never pointed out the staff sat in PE to the flight staff, I only asked if I could use the toilet. The rest of the matter was disclosed in my email after the event so there was never any such mistake on board that I was looking for a free upgrade, only to use the toilet. It turned out that Thomas Cook agreed with me. If I valued an upgrade that much, I would pay for one. The poster can say that my they disagree with my argument, but not that I was looking for a free upgrade. There are many such posts, this was just a taste of one & I have no ill feelings towards the poster. I am just pointing out that they imagined a scenario that I never said took place. I know how a forum works. I know there are different opinions, but there are not different truths, that is my only point, no offence intended at all x |

At this point, I will be stepping away from the post.
I don't know where people are still getting the idea that I am looking for support is coming from. Or that I have a problem with differing opinions. I only have a problem with differing truths, of which there a substantial amount, that I am not going to post & defend & provide proof. I told my story, I fixed it & I returned with my outcome. At no point was I looking for anyone to back my story, nor pull it apart. I stated this in my original post & I have never changed my position I posted my story to inform people that if may have affected past present or future. If you got anything from my situation, good bad or indifferent, then that is what I intended. Everything else is just noise now. |

Just a final clarification, the cash amount was a lot lower than the holiday offered & if I didn't have health issues, we would have jumped at the all expenses holiday, it just wasn't practical for us!

I'm so pleased that your complaint was taken seriously by TC and MCO. All too often we here of incidents being swept under the carpet or buried in customer service response times never to be seen again.
