Mobile Is there a charge when you buy in dollars?

I’m looking to buy Seaworld 2 day with all day dine and Universal 2 day base tickets.
I have found both of these on Undercover Tourist and Visit Orlando. Visit Orlando are slightly cheaper. I’m going to pay by debit card but will I get charged any exchange fees?
I can get the Seaworld tickets in GBP from Expedia, they are a little more expensive from there. Unfortunately the recent save £50 deal wasn’t available for my dates.
I’m still debating to wait for any other deals but I would like to get it ticked off.

It depends which bank/card you use!

Check the website of the issuer of your card for their tariff.

Thank you. I feel like I’m losing the plot comparing ticket prices and what to go for.

I know your query re charges has been answered but I wouldn't rush to buy your tickets but keep an eye on this section of the DIBB as there are bound to be offers on the horizon.

I bought my Seaworld tickets with dining plan with the recent Expedia deal, Icon tickets when 3 for the price of 1, Boggy Creek at reduced price when buying MNSSHP, free Wild Florida when bought KSC adults at kids prices and Universal tickets when 2 days with 3 days free. The only tickets I didn't get on offer were MNSSHP and I day at AK but I still shopped around and got slightly cheaper than direct with Disney. All the little savings add up and have spread the cost of buying the tickets over the last 3 months. I tend to just check any deals against the prices with the dibb recommended sellers (in the yellow box above threads).

I got charged by Santander, only about £1.25 per transaction but it's annoying.

I've got a Starling debit card account which I use abroad as it has no fees and the exchange rate is always the MasterCard rate. I transfer the amount I need to the Starling account and pay with that card instead 😀

Below is an up to date article on credit cards that offer zero foreign transaction charges and give you near perfect exchange rates. Some are even offering cash back for new customers.

If you normally use an exchange service to buy currency before you travel having one of these cards will save you a fortune and are a lot more convenient (you can draw out cash when abroad with a minimal charge)
