To be fair though, this was only ever an internal transfer, followed by a perfect storm of events. Fair play to the airlines involved it looks like they've done the utmost to get the OP to theur final destination.

Now, does the EU delay compensation come into play here? Will make for just a few extra pennies to enhance the holiday experience

Much smaller? MCO is 10th biggest in USA, TPA 29th. Its not small...

Hoping so. Compo claim email has already been sent. Not sure it will qualify but you never know!

Don’t disagree although we never ever felt stranded or in fear we would never get there. Just took longer than we wanted. Given difference in price for Scottish flights in school hols couldn’t justify paying the direct prices which are ludicrous.

I guess if it's a flydrive n flight changed that worse case just explain at tampa, our flights were changed last yr, originally flying in n out of miami but changed to Orlando for return, car was separate, when I rang avis they wanted £200, at airport they did it free
