Disabled toilets in Florida... radar key?

Hi. I'm just wondering what the deal is with disabled toilets please? My son has irritable bowel and bladder so we have a radar key which comes in handy. Is there an American equivalent? Thanks x

You don’t need a key to use the disabled toilets.

Just to confirm there is no equivalent and you will never need to ask for a disabled toilet to be unlocked. TBH my disabled daughter misses the RADAR scheme as they are often already occupied by people who don't look her in the eye as they leave.

This is great to know. I also suffer IBS and carry my Radar key with me. I will know I don't need to worry if I have packed it.

This may not effect you but a lot of the toilets have the disabled cubicle within the main toilet area...fine foe most people but awkward at times for us as I had to take my wife into the Mens restroom all the time as she needed assistance

Be ready to wait as they always seem to be full of moms with pushchairs...

Disney at least often have separate companion restrooms that are separate from the men and ladies rooms. There is usually one large cubicle inside these as well as one slightly bigger than the rest with handrails.
