Universal hotel.

Going for 3 weeks next may in a villa is it best to stay 1 night in one of the universal hotels to get fast passes it's for 2 adults 2 children.

Yes.

Take your pick from Royal Pacific, Hard Rock or Portofino Bay. Lots of threads on here about which is the best hotel but for one night, you might as well choose the cheapest. They are all excellent.

Yes I would highly recommend staying in a universal hotel for the passes. If you are just staying for one night you get passes for two days. I would just go for the cheapest one that includes passes. We did one night at the hard rock then went back for nine nights the year after and are doing seven there this year.

Check prices for club level as well as normal. Sometimes the upgrade isn't much.
