Upgraded on way home as well - you're kidding me!

Oh man, where do I start? Our first episode when we were upgraded to Upper Class from Belfast to Orlando is below:

Upgraded on way out

You'll never believe it but it happened again - I got an upgrade on my way home as well . (DW & DD had to stay in economy though). Now I know that I had a special celebration birthday this year but to be upgraded both out and back was simply out of this world. I paid £668 for three adults, Belfast - MCO and on return MCO-Boston-LHR-BHD and for me to be Upper Class both ways was something you dream of. Thanks very much Virgin but you have really spoiled me.

I was 50 in May and my friend and I have splashed out and are doing a whole week at HRH instead of the usual 2 nights. Maybe I should smile sweetly at the TUI check-in and casually mention it's my 50th Birthday year

( Only joking lol)

That’s fantastic. I was really pleased when we were given the exit row seats on our TUI flights both there and back a few weeks ago. Hadn’t pre-booked seats as we weren’t bothered if weren’t sat together. Went to check in desk and was asked if we would like seats together. I said it would be great if possible but not to worry if she couldn’t do it. She made a phone call asking for seats on a certain row to be released and just smiled at us. Had no idea until we got on there. We felt really lucky and it made for a much more comfortable flight but to be upgraded to Upper must have been amazing. Hope you enjoyed every minute of it.

Did they call out your birthday on the flight perchance. I found the staff on the Virgin flight on 14th July Orlando to Belfast amazing. We book Virgin Light and I paid to upgrade DH's seat as I need him to have extra legroom (or he expands into my seat). The rest of us were randomly seated and DS who is 13 was on his own and very nervous. I asked staff could I escort him to his seat and the Air Host said I will try to seat you together once everyone is onboard. He put us together with a space between us. The two extra legroom seats beside DH were empty so DD1 & DD2 got those. Lovely staff and a super service.
