Mobile Hike from Glacier point?

Hi all

We are going to book the glacier point one way tour and then hike back down to valley floor.

Trying to decide whether to take the 4 mile trail or the panorama trail?

Has anyone had any experience with either?

Thanks x

We hiked up 4 miles and down panorama. I would say of the 2 panorama is a bit easier. The panorama meets up with the John Muir trail on the way down and you can take that it the mist trail down. The mist trail easier but longer but the John Muir has nicer views.

It’s hard to go wrong really because the whole area is so beautiful.

We did Panorama trail a few years ago and it was awesome, one of the highlights of our California holiday, the views of the falls were stunning. We had a picnic at top of one of the falls along the river bank and it was so beautiful. If you want amazing views please do this. It was a good easy trail only a couple of bits coming down besides the falls were very rocky and a bit of a scramble.

Have a great time!

We hiked up the four mile trail from the valley floor and back down. It's pretty hard going and more like 4.5 miles each way. Going down is tough on the knees , a pair of walking poles would help soften the impact on your knees. Very enjoyable though, one or our standout memories of holidays.
