I have a son in Houston (similar climate) and agree with the above. If you want to avoid places with cochroaches, avoid Florida.
My son is very clean and they do everything they can to stay on top of the cochroache situation, but occasionally one wins. Hotels generally will spray, spray and spray. I am not sure you want to overspray in a restaurant. ETA: Palmetto bugs are cochroaches wityh a nicer name. Edited at 01:09 PM. |

And after a pest control visit we wake up to dead ones in the middle of the floor. They are impossible to avoid completely in this climate.

Also got to consider that after roaches are found, they will be trying even harder (and be under more scrutiny) so not a factor for me

Only ever had a sundae or shake at the entrance but not really a big fan. Unbelievably sweet.
