Scientology is based on Xenu, kind of a galactic Emperor, dealing with overpopulation in the universe by flying aliens on big planes to volcanoes on Earth (don't ask), then dropping nuclear bombs on the volcanoes. The spirits of the aliens (called Thetans I think) have lingered on Earth, attaching themselves to humans and giving them negative thoughts. They're why greed, jealousy, hate etc exist in the first place. Scientology is about "clearing" yourself and the world of the nasty Thetans.

But you won't learn this unless you spend many years with them and only after giving them tens of thousands of dollars to reach greater purity... until you're ready for the story above.

The universe is a huge place, the chances that were the only intelligent life is so minute that I really believe that there are other life forms out there with at least the same intelligence as us.

Not sure on whether we have been visited though. I would love to believe we have, but hoaxes are so easy to do these days and a lot of "visitations" have been proven just that; a hoax.

There are things that have happened that make me wonder though... I think the Phoenix Lights are quite convincing, but who knows?
