I wouldn't expect anything for free just because of a birthday but lots of restaurants offer free drinks or starters just for signing up, it's a loyalty thing, lots offer birthday perks too. Theres so many places to eat outside of the Disney bubble freebies are a way for them to get you through the door.

Oh right,I didn't see the first bit about signing up to places,a lot of places like Dennys only offer it on your actual birthday!

Red Robin Burgers gave me a free dessert and a free burger
Levy's will do a $25 birthday voucher I think (Paddlefish, Terralina)
Landry's do a $25 birthday but not with first use of membership (also $25 credit) so if you get in advance (can use the app if card not arrived) can get 2 x $25 (T-Rex, Rainforest Cafe, Landry's Seafood, Bubba Gumps)
Earl of Sandwich gave me a free sandwich one year (not heard from them again!)
Chilli's usually give me a free something
Millers give a free dessert
Beef o'Brady's do a free appetizer I think, or maybe a dessert (we were too stuffed on year so I gave it to the next table - the kid was thrilled - yes, I did check with the parent and the restaurant first)

Thanks all, theres a sticky with the restaurants that offer discounts so I'll look at that and all these suggestions and then get a list of places to sign up to, I really just wondered how long we would have if using a real birthday as no good if it's on the day only as we wont be there, I'd feel like a scammer faking it though! I guess you could make it up and have your birthday every day you're there to make sure you get deals but I've not got the balls for that! I'll just be honest and anything extra will be a bonus!

A lot of them do the calendar month but some are shorter
