Onsite, offsite or both?
Hi everyone!
As there are a couple of threads like this I thought I would start a poll to give a clearer idea of peoples preferences when it comes to accommodation in Orlando. Are you an onsite of offsite kind of person? Do you like to split your stay so that you have the best of both worlds? What do you think are the pros and cons between onsite and offsite?

If money were no object, I'd stay onsite but we tend to be out of the room by 9am and not return until after 11pm. For us, it's just not worth the additional expense.

We have done both but really prefer offsite.
For what we can afford, Villas and Condo's are the only option to give us enough space, having a teenager with us on holiday means she needs somewhere of her own. Outside space, kitchenette, washing machine/drier and separate bedrooms IMO are much more important to us.

agree with Cartoon P, enjoyed both and that's why ideally I would split my stay.

On our first visit we stayed off site, our second was a villa and our third was on site at the CBR, and boy what a difference staying at a resort makes, both Disney and Universal.
Every visit since, (apart from one when we were a party of 8 and we stayed in a villa for the full two weeks) we always split our stays, always a week at Disney and either the second in a villa or Universal, though we do keep the car as we sometimes find we want to go out of the bubble, even just to Walmart.

We stayed in a villa on our first visit in 2010 and then onsite at Disney last year, we are now insite converted, loved everything about it. However I don't know if we will always be able to afford it, so that's my only worry as it becomes more and more expensive every year.
