Busy day guide

Hi , I was looking at the busy day guide to plan our trip in June/July and don't understand why when you hover over the parks to give you a waiting time some of the parks in the least recommended section have a lower rating than in the most recommended. Also when we have been before we went to Magic Kingdom on a Saturday and it was much busier than it had been during the week however the guide says that Saturdays in July are the best days to go. CONFUSED !

I don't know why it says Saturdays are the best day either. We've always found them horrendously busy.

It is saying it for August as well. I think because the extra hours have moved to Friday, so they always recommend the park for the day after.

When we went in 2015, the extra hours were on a Thursday so Friday was then recommended.

Saturday is the busiest day of the week in MK, it is not debatable. Other than that, the busy day guide is pretty good.

It's my understanding that the busy day guide takes into account other factors, and is not just about how busy is a park compared to other days, but also for example compared to the other parks.

For example, MK might be busier on a Saturday than a Friday, but if the other parks are relatively busier (e.g. due to EMH), it may still be the best park to visit.

The waiting time numbers are based on last years waiting times, not this years. So things can be different this year compared to last year.

Also, remember that the busy day guide does not measure which park has the least or most crowds. If it was based on crowds, MK would never be recommended because it is always more crowded than the other parks (it's one of the smallest parks and is nearly twice as popular as the rest).

Finally, the busy day guide is based purely on EMH days. A park will be least recommended when it has morning or evening EMH, most recommended the day after it has EMH, and otherwise is merely recommended. So if MK has EMH on Friday (which it often does) then it will be "most recommended" on Saturday no matter what the actual crowds are like.
