Vegetrain family style dining question

If we were to eat at a family style dining ( where they bring you food to you on big dishes and you help yourself) restaurant, ohana's for example and one of you is a vegetarian then how does it work, would they bring out some in a separate dish for the vegetarian ?
Also what would they vegetarian option be ?

They bring seperate dishes, just let your server know
Ohana did tofu and stir fry veggies, hummous with crackers.
The Garden Grill was lovely to with seperate dishes for a veggie.

Liberty Tree Tavern brought out a huge bowl of pasta with tomato sauce. I think it was a bowl to share, but DS(vege) ate the lot!

What was the Garden Grill vegetarian option, and how long ago was that? Last time I went I didn't like the sound of the veggie option so the server got me something from sunshine seasons. I'd like to know what the latest option is.

It was a veggie meat loaf ( Aug 16 ) which I didn't like the sound off but it turned out to be lovely and tasty
