Disney outlets - magic bands

We are staying offsite in August but I'm planning on getting magic bands from Disney springs on our first night, just wondered if it's worth trying the outlets first, is it something they sell regularly?

Not sure if they sell them regularly, but have definitely seen them in the outlets. Apparently they have been as cheap as around $2 each in the past (if I don't remember what I was told wrongly) - though the ones I've seen have been more than that!

Thanks for replies, think I'll have a look in the outlets first then, worth a try.

Another question, I'm assuming they wouldn't link them to our tickets in the outlets, would they still do it in Disney springs even though they weren't purchased there? Thanks

You can get them linked in the parks I'm sure.

Presumably the ones in outlets are old stock. How would that affect battery life? The best guess is that Magic Bands will work for around 2 years, so if the bands being sold at the outlets are last year's stock, they may only last a year?

Not a problem if you only want to use them for one holiday, but should be taken in to consideration if you want to use them the following year too.

Last time we went to the outlets they only had one style of magic band avaliable and it was a snowflake one (obviously what they were trying to get rid of after christmas) I would most definatley reccomend going to disney springs instead as it was a wasted journey for us.

Hope this helps.
