Thrifty car hire from MCO

Hi

Can any of you lovely peeps put my mind at rest.

I left my DH in charge of the care hire for this holiday (in the past i have always used Alamo) and he has booked through Thrifty,

Can anyone please let me know of there experience using this company?

DH has assured me that all will be fine and they are based at MCO so shouldn't be a problem:

I just hate the unknown and would feel a little better knowing that someone else has used them and all has been fine.

TIA

Haven't used them but they were a part of Dollar and both brands were acquired by Hertz.

Just watch out for toll 'admin' fees! Not as cheap as Alamo.

As above just keep cash at hand for tolls,Miami area can lead to extra costs due to cashless in this area.
Enjoy.

I've just booked an SUV from Dollar... I've seen a few posts really slating Dollar. Are they really that bad, that bad that I should cancel, lose my Ł50 deposit and book elsewhere? Or is it just luck of the draw? We always book through usrentacar and when we had a prob a couple of years ago (can't remember the renter), they've sorted it out for us.

I certainly wouldn't lose Ł50!
Lets be honest here. Dollar aren't the best but they do have brand new cars as well, they are not all 'hand me downs' from Hertz.
A rental car has a job to do, get you from A to B safely and the Dollar car will do that.
Price is everything and you have got a good deal so just go with it in my view.
If the car you are allocated is dirty etc then decline it. They don't want to lose your business.

I guess any hire company has its faults, but just noticed a lot of bad comments directed at Dollar lately, got me a bit worried! Apparently with Dollar, like Alamo, I'll get to choose my car from a line up. Happier about that. Hoping for a Jeep Grand Cherokee 😁

We got to pick our car with dollar last year, but that was in Los Angeles. Had no problems, may be we were just lucky.
