I did mean 8.50am...
We were never quite that early in Captain cooks but it says breakfast is served from 6.30am on touring plans. I think that sounds about right so yes hot food from 6.30am till 11pm I think. Taxi to Animal kingdom was just over $20, there always seemed to be a supply of taxis at the Poly when you needed one, there is a bell services desk just outside the front entrance, they will get you one. If you have anymore questions about the poly just give me a shout, we stayed for 18 nights in Tokelau and it was fabulous. |

Loving your food report so far! You ate at some great places and I cant wait to read more.
We loved everything about the Poly too, Captain Cooks, Ohana breakfasts, Ohana dinners, Kona Café! and we didn't even stay there! I started a food report when we got back but unfortunately gave up on about day 12 of 21.

Beach Club is amazing, its small enough that we can get anywhere quickly, the kids can go to the pool themselves, which is an attraction in itself! Its close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, has a fantastic counter service (flat breads and hand made hot sandwiches). The rooms are lovely and its making me want to go back now!
The Poly would be amazing to stay at, you're so lucky, we love everything about that place.

Grand Floridian Cafe
On to my most Favourite breakfast, the Grand Floridian Cafe, not sure if it was the yummy food, the nice atmosphere, the great service or the fact it was just me and Dh or a combination. Ds was away on the kids pirate adventure cruise, which he loved and mil opted for a lazy start.
We ordered the tropical splash to drink, it was orange juice with strawberry, it was really nice. Dh had the Vanilla-laced French toast with Sausages and I had the Citrus Pancakes with Bacon. We had a bit of each and it was like heaven on a plate... . sorry I forgot to take the photo until after we had made a start. I liked the Grand Floridian, it’s so similar to the Disneyland Hotel in Paris, we had a couple of visits there as it was just the next stop on the monorail from the Poly and mil and I took a liking to Basin. Edit - meant to say we didn't use the dining plan for this and the room charge shows $43.70, I am assuming we charged the whole lot including the tip. Would I return – yes, yes, yes! Edited at 08:38 PM. |
