Dine with Shamu - thoroughly recommended! Photos added.
We booked this as it was very reasonably priced for a meal at SW ($29 Per adult) and it was one of the best things we've done in Florida!
Before the Blackfish followers jump on this thread, know this: I love and will always support SW. Anyway, we were at a table right up by the waterside and were offered complimentary wine and beer with the meal, which DF was delighted with. The view was amazing to say the least, with the whales about 1.5 metres away from us - wow! Food was pretty good too - roasted chicken portions, baked pork and beef, salmon, etc. Lots of salads, potatoes, fries etc for sides. Puddings were delicious - I enjoyed a red velvet cake which I would happily eat all day! The table next to us was the family of one of the trainers who was completing their last day at SW after 12 years! This really added to the atmosphere as they told us lots about her career and which whales she'd trained and how she did it, how she formed her relationships with the whales, etc. All in all, it was absolutely spectacular, with a free photograph included, and worth every penny if you're a Shamu fan!

Great pictures, sounds like you had a great time.
We've done this twice now & we'd really recommend it too- it's lovely being so close to the whales and great value for money with the food you get

Does he enjoy the other shows? This was less of a show and more of a backstage look at how they train the animals and the ways they form bonds, show affection, give rewards etc. It was really interesting to see the trainers up close interactions, as well as seeing some of the stunning jumps from the water etc.
If all else fails - $29 for unlimited beer and food ought to do it!
