First time on DDP - August 2014

Hi all,

I love reading food reports so thought I would add one of my own - here goes:

We stayed overnight at the Radisson at Manchester airport and paid to have a business class room with access to the lounge - free drinks and canapés

Here is a selection of what we had:

Our flight was with Virgin and I had the chlli, DH had chicken and DD had pasta then there was a chocolate caramel bar, tiny pack of crisps and a lovely caesar salad style wrap later on. It tasted better than it looks luckily!

DD Pasta

We were too tired for a QS meal when we got to Saratoga Springs Resort the first evening so we had a breakfast at Artists Palette the next morning.

I had the Bounty Platter - sub biscuit for extra Mickey waffle

It was all lovely, especially the potatoes and the waffles - you have to eat the ears first though!

Bethy had the waffles with bacon

Paul had cheese omelette with breakfast potatoes

We also used our refillable mugs and had bottled drinks to take back. I tried some coconut water and it was awful!

Next we went off to Walmart for urgent supplies i.e. Cheetos and alcohol - Paul likes a bag of Cheetos or two

We also bought some of this gorgeous creation

Our first table serve meal of the holibobs was for lunch as t-rex. Sorry about the photos as the light was awful in there. There was way too much food and we took the desserts to go but they didn't fare well on the walk home so no photos. Paul had a double burger, Beth a single one and I had the pulled port sandwich. P and B said there's was lovely but I found my pulled pork a bit tough. I also had a pina colada and Beth a milkshake, the milkshake was on the dining plan but unfortunately my drink was not

Beth's milkshake (Reeces I think)

Paul's double burger held together with a big knife!

Next day was Hollywood Studios and me and Beth shared a sundae for a snack credit - very nice indeedy

Paul had a bottle of water as he does not like sweet things! :rem:

Lunch was at 50's Prime Time Cafe where I had the delicious pot roast - never tried it before and I was glad I did as it was melt in your mouth, I even ate Paul's veggies!

Beth had the fried chicken, she couldn't eat it all so Paul helped her out

Paul had the sampler which he said was nice but he was jealous of Beths portion size!

Beth had a milkshake to drink, Paul had a beer and I had a coke.

For dessert Paul was allowed to have a coffee, I had a PB and J milkshake - OMG it was soooo nice and Beth had a Boston Cream Parfait

My Milkshake - I paid extra for the take home glass - which was plastic!

We went to the Springs pool for the afternoon and I had a sangria - it was ok, expensive for what it was though as with tip cost over $11!

We ate dinner back in the room. Paul wasn't hungry enough for a whole meal (he did eat half of Beth's lunch!) so we had 2 between 3 of us. We had a cheese flatbread - ok

With apples and caramel for pud

Cheeseburger flatbread - very scrummy

I had carrot cake for my dessert. Beth had cherry coke and I had cranberry and apple to drink and we all refilled our mugs
