Mobile Alamo hire via travel city direct

We have a fly drive booked with TCD and the car is an Alamo car with basis insurance. Do we just go to the Alamo desk at MCO to sort out hire.

we booked with tcd last year we did save time and went directly to the garage and had no problems, but I know a few dibbers are having trouble , it has been advised that its better to do check in on line as well as save time also , so I will do that this year just to make sure

Dog Ken has linked the correct thread. TCD is Virgin so the OP needs to top up their Insurance and NOT do Savetime but use the dedicated TCD Alamo online check in which is different to Savetime which is for Alamo Brits.

I would assume you have the basic car?
If so they quote for minimal Insurance cover which isn't enough for a bump etc.
However if you have taken an enhanced package with them probably called Gold or Platinum you are fine

If TCD is the same as a Virgin Holiday and I suspect it is you won't have collision damage waiver. That covers the value of the car and consequential loss of future rental
Without it if you bump the car you can be liable for its full value.
You need to check what you have.

I have just come of the phone to Charter Travel to ask about my Virgin fly drive, I asked if I would have to pay any more insurance at MCO, she said no your all covered but they may try and sell you windscreen, tyres, loss of keys etc, so I said what about CDW and she said that's included with your fly drive, hope she's right.
