does anyone have any suggestions for other "best of" type lists to add to it? i'm just about to do a bunch of the top rated from tripadvisor, but any other local awards/lists would be good

i've now added a bunch of places from the top 50 tripadvisor restaurants in orlando... although a lot of them were already on there from the previous updates

Well done for doing this and for sharing. Really interesting to see on the map where the restaurants actually are and this will be super useful to visit the places locals would eat at.

I've updated the links to the KML and OV2 files with the recent updates (tripadvisor best of) and also added a garmin compatible GPX file. see above, or the original post for the links

enjoy!

google/maps/d/edit?m...A8&usp=sharing

USING THESE POI'S ON A SATNAV
these POIs can be exported to KML, then converted to OV2 format (for tomtom satnavs) or other satnav compatible formats by running it through gps-data-team/convert.php

but heres a copy of the files for those of you too lazy to export/convert them yourself

GPX (garmin satnav)
dropbox/s/7jd3vklbjd...0POIs.gpx?dl=0

SOURCES OF INFO
orlandoweekly/orlando/BestOf (2014/2015 food and drink sections)
orlandosentinel/enter...htmlstory.html
tripadvisor/Restaur...o_Florida.html (most of the top 50 rated on tripadvisor as of august 2015)

as well as a bunch of places i've been to myself over the years. I try to avoid chain restaurants in general, and whilst some of these may technically be chains (seasons 52 for example) they are about as far away from the likes of red lobster you'll get.

CAN I HELP?
I'm looking for help expanding this list and potentially helping to collate/edit it, so if you think youre up to the job, please let me know!

if you dont want to help edit, but have any suggestions for places to add, just reply on here with some info (website url, address, that sort of thing) and ill consider adding it...

another way of helping is by replying to this thread to keep it active and stop it getting lost amongst all the onsite/olive garden recommendation threads
This is it!

Great, thank you.

Recommendations

It is my 40th whilst we are out there, we are going to go to Universal on that day and are staying onsite. Where would you recommend for a laid back dinner with the family - nowhere posh as we will have the kids with us. We like all food really. And cocktails!

Anywhere walkable from Universal?
