There has been a few offers on the U.S. Groupon site but i havent been able to buy them without having US postal address/US credit card . Do any of you have a way around this? I think the main problem was that the address where we stay doesnt match the address where my credit card is

You have to use your normal UK address so that it will match the one registered to your c/c. When it asks for the state and zip code, just use the one for your hotel. My bank phoned to check that the transaction was genuine before authorising the payment but some people find it goes through without query.
