Depends on the age of your kids I suppose. Ours are teens and normally starving (and not very tired) by the time we get there. We normally get something from the foodcourt as we're on site but if we were off site we'd probably go to Perkins, Dennys etc. We don't plan anything big which will take ages as I like to unpack on the first night but we don't have an early night as I don't want us awake at the crack of dawn.

Yes... last year we headed to WPE at DS... my son eats very little plane food so was starving! I was too shattered to enjoy it really but it helped keep us up and we awoke a relitivly normal time next day... plus it was great to get round DS

We do!
Assuming we aren't arriving too late of course.
It's a highlight of the holiday for us knowing we've arrived and feeling like we're in full relaxation mode

No once we have checked in we like to relax and get something from the hotel to eat to be honest. Have in the past but we have been too tired, sometimes we have been up for 18 hours by the time we get to the hotel.

We don't go far the first night, just something quick maybe from the foodcourt, or a quick snacky type meal if we're offsite.

This is what we normally do, whether it's go out for dinner, go do a shop and get take-out pizza... it's normally the perfect ending to a long day for me, where you can just be excited about the holiday ahead of you

In July wjen we dropped off our bags etc we walked over to the boardwalk to grab something to eat. As we sat down to eat my 10 year old son burst out crying (totally out of character) and he said he was just so tired he needed to go to bed.
This was our first tine onsite, we usually stay at a villa and just run in Walmart for some boys etc so when we land this year we might wonder over to the food court but won't venture far.

6pm US time is 11pm UK time, with my 2 girls at almost 5 and 7, I'd basically be asking for a tantrum and I doubt I'd enjoy it. For us, our 1st night is in NYC, we plan on grabbing a slice of pizza, a couple of beers for the grown ups and having an early night. I'd be too worried about ruining our 1st night by stressing everyone out.

depends how we feel. We either go to Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs or if we cant be bothered with that, pop to an IHOP and get something like an omelette. We never do anything the day after so leave the unpacking until the next day. Do try to stay up as long as we can.
