I remember the Skyway, heres video of a ride on them in 1996. No they didn't have aircon, but then they didn't have windows either

They look really cool in the flesh so to speak! Some are still covered but it’s fun watching the ones that aren’t and seeing the characters. And they can move too it’s really weird watching them from the road going above your head.

We were watching them at HS last week they look really good they go quite fast I thought they would be a bit slower

I think the max speed is around 15mph, as they don't have aircon, the speed is what creates the airflow through the cabin, the journey time from CBR to HS they say will be around 5-7mins, similar time between CBR and AoA/Pop. The longest is from CBR to Epcot which they say will be around 12-15mins mainly as they slow down as they pass through the Riviera Station, then they slow again as they take the 90degree turn by the Boardwalk car park.

We saw some of them as we were travelling to AKL on Thursday and agreed we’d all be too chicken to ride them 😂.
