I just want to say what a lovely thing you do.

DD also likes the Sol de Janerio stuff you can get from Boots here.

Honestly it’s easy to find a vulnerable young person leaving care locally
Some have no one others have elderly parents who just need to know someone has there back
Some need to cut off ies with affordable a1000s different reasons
All they need is someone somewhere to say I e got your back this is how wedeel with it
Even if you haven’t spare funds for these kids to know if they are out and about get into a situation they are uncomfortable with etc they can phone you
You go get them tell them walk away keep talking to us get in a taxi or we are coming to get you
It’s the you on the end of the line safe haven they need 90% of tge time
.

A little up date
She’s now n a flat share working hard at college and doing part time shifts asxa career in a hospice and really leaning to becoming a nurse or a art / play therapist for children in long term hospital care
She’s working a 12 hour shift tomorrow 8an to 8pm and will then be off and spend some time with us panto the ballet shopping and completing college stuff very hard for her as it’s all to be done where she can source free internet
They get little or no help when these kids reach 18 in families we let them fly but with a flipping big safety net 99% of the time she’s flying solo and doing great as she knows somebody has her back
It’s honestly one of the most rewarding things we ever do

Such a lovely update, it’s so lovely that you have been able to see her get on in life. X DD friend is a Care leaver, tbh if it wasn’t for her foster mum stepping in she would have no support at all from the official channels. It truly is shocking how they are coersed into leaving care with lots of promises of support that never materialises.
