I was thinking of making my own, but I really don’t have time. Off on a cruise in 6 weeks, every weekend from now until then we are booked up. Get home 15th December so not a lot of time after we get home.

I have made my own crackers for pass 11 years. I put a scratch card/lottey ticket in it along with a small present wrapped up. Each person gets something they like & keep. Never going back to shop bought crackers again. Sooner go without. I’ve got a few family & friends doing it now. And they think it’s all a brilliant idea. Even do it as secret Santa.

I was thinking of not buying any but not sure my family would forgive me!

Last year I bought really pricey ones that had metal bits inside - think bottle opener, cookie cutter etc as I didn't want plastic rubbish, and the hats were dreadful and just tore, were tiny and didn't fit anyone.

I'll probably cave but am seriously considering doing without.

Hope it’s ok to join this thread as I didnt know whether to start another cracker one! lol! 😂

Has anyone already bought and tried either the House of Games or Traitors Christmas crackers?

I initially spotted the Traitors ones, but then the same link had House of Games ones - just wondering if anyone has tried either and if they’d recommend them? I’m not a lover of crackers generally but we do like to play games so thought this might be a good idea?

I buy cheap ones and add my own bits into them - chocs, lotto cards etc.

I have just done my crackers 🤩 I bought some normal (large) crackers because I still wanted a silly joke & hat then filled the adult ones with miniature drinks and 4 chocolates, both my boys have little mini anime figures & chocolates in theirs 🤩🤩🤩🤩

I agree with Mark they are generally just full of stuff no one really wants , even the expensive ones.

Fair enough you can add chocolates/ alcohol etc but it’s not like there isn’t enough of that already!

I absolutely love Christmas, love the children’s excitement, the pantos, school plays, seeing Santa etc etc but would gladly give the crackers up .

However it’s a tradition my family are reluctant to give up for now!
