I do as much as I can on Christmas Eve. Cook and slice my turkey ready to warm through (we went to my in laws a few years running and they actually served it cold and by the time you had everything else with gravy etc on you couldn't tell!)
I prep all my veg and leave in pans in cold water in the garage. I make my carrot and swede mash and warm that up in the micro. I even make my roasties, par boil and put into hot oil bt then put into the fridge, they work fine.
Ita not necessarily the cooking I want rid of, it's pan washing!
I then set the table and put all the accompaniments out ready.

We are cooking and having Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve this year. There are two reasons for this firstly my Aunt can come but secondly it means none of us in the kitchen Xmas day so Pj’s and quality street and Boxing Day spread on Xmas Day. We have a houseful Boxing Day on so what’s left of the spread and ham in the slow cooker easy peasy
