Edward once asked for a "yellow hovercraft" ... it was a late addition to his list and I spent days trawling round trying to find one!

One of his Santa Letters has just come up on my Timehop 🙈😂

When my kids were younger, one year we had spent a fair amount of dosh on them both and got all the gifts we thought they wanted. About 2 weeks before Christmas, my daughter suddenly announces that the only thing she wants for Christmas is a Playstation - grrrr! Cue frantic scraping together of another couple of hundred quid so that we can then get her that plus spend the equivalent amount on something else for my son, and even more frantic scouring of shops to find said Playstation. Luckily, they weren't in massive demand that year so for £125 I managed to get her one, this was in the days of the bog-standard Playstations, not the all-singing and dancing ones they have now!

My 3 year old wants Santa's sleigh... So for everyone else's sake I hope we're the last house he visits and that he brings his bus pass and passport!

I remember telling my mum on Christmas Eve that I wanted a dance mat. Cue her in a frantic panic about how I hadn’t put that on my list to Santa and he would have already left the North Pole because he was in Australia so she couldn’t get a message to him. I resigned myself to not getting one.

Mum had bought one as an off list present she hoped I would like by chance. Whilst I saw the panic, dad saw her dancing round the kitchen when I left. I was on the cusp of believing and that cemented it for another year or two!

My (then) 3 year old grandson asked for this last Christmas! My daughter bought a decorative one from John Lewis as it was a reasonable size. He filled it with his toy cars and pulled it around for hours!

My nephew always asks for crazy stuff. He’s 9 just now. A couple of years ago he wanted a full size Lamborghini tractor and a motorbike. This year he wants a pet pigeon! I love it!

When my son was 3 he asked for a sharp sword like Peter Pans so he could chop those sharp spikes off mummy’s legs. Since then I’ve shaved my legs every day 😂
