Lovely story...
My 3rd child (a boy) was bullied terribly at school but hid it at home... he was also bullied in his early work years, he eventually changed to a she and is now a teacher, after leaving school without any qualifications... she said that she wanted to make a difference to children’s lives and hopes that no child in her classes suffers how she did... her inspiration is a teacher who she said understood...

Not really sure what I want to say - you must be so happy and your life must be so fulfilled to act in such a caring way especially after realising who the mother was.
I admire you for being the bigger person.

Such a strong story, well done for being so forgiving as even after many years it still hurts if you have been bullied. I speak from experience too sadly. I would like to think I would be as generous as you were if I met my bullies (I’m not sure I would be)

It is sad that the woman felt she hadn’t achieved a good life though, despite having a lovely daughter. I wonder if her anger and frustration when she was younger has caused her unhappiness throughout her life? I do feel that people who have a negative outlook and moan, complain and are generally uncaring about others end up alone and unhappy. It is sad that she couldn’t see the positives in life and enjoy them more. It seems you certainly managed to turn the bad experience of bullying around into a positive life.

Sorry if I'm confused, but if it has been 40 years since you left school, and this lady got pregnant just after school, how has she got a little girl, not a daughter in her late 30's?

Lovely wee story.
Takes a lot to be able to move on from experiences like that.
I still remember the lass that bullied me when I was 13. What the experience taught me is to never treat others the way they treated me.
Well done to you, I wonder, did it help you put away the feelings from when they bullied you or had you moved on from the experience anyway?

I thought that, but it did say Mummy.. Doesn't matter obviously, but it did confuse me as his school-mate would have been in his 50's surely
