If a plane is delayed which loses a connection would it be classed as your fault or would they have to put you on the next plane without charge?
Thanks

If it is on a single ticlet, then it is their responsibility to put you on the next AVAILABLE flight.
Problem is that there are very few flights and they are often full. Aer Lingus dont fly every day. This is why I say Dublin is a VERY BAD place to miss a connection. Loads saying it is enough time, but I wonder how many have missed a connection and been delayed a few days? That wouldn't be a great start to your holiday. If all runs perfectly, it "should" be OK. It comes down to how much risk you want to take with your holiday? When flying via London - we would always travel the night before. Hence my earlier advice to do the same. |

Anyone have any experience of missing a flight and waiting days?

We flew dublin to LA & had a 2hr 10 min connection, the flight from Manchester was delayed 2 hours, missed connection. Next flight was next day so they put us in a hotel, still waiting for the 600 euros each compensation.
I wish I'd checked this flight before as it hardly ever goes on time, if I'd known I would have got the ealier flight from Manchester with 5 hour connection This flight was booked last minute to replace a Thomas Cook flight, never done indirect before. I would go the night before or earlier flight.

Plenty of time providing the first flight is on time.
We had 1:35hrs a couple of weeks ago and albeit a little tight we made it to the gate 30 mins before flight time. Still many people in the boarding q. But all depends that first flight is not delayed, but I guess this is the same with any in-direct flight. Edited at 10:40 AM. |

If you get pulled for the extra security check at US Customs you definitely wouldn’t have enough time. Personally I wouldn’t risk it. As tspill says I would only do it if flying over from the UK the night before.

The flights that I am looking at show later options. Even if we decided to stay the night before I wouldn't be going any extra nights If this happened (if I book them I have enough days to play with
