Mobile Flight advice

Hi,just looking for a wee bit guidance.
We got back from or first ever Orlando trip a few weeks ago,we had a amazing time and are hoping to return next year.
We travelled with virgin this year and to be honest probably paid a bit over the odds for our holiday.
Next year we are looking to diy with flights and then booking a villa ,our dates that we are looking at is around mid Oct to the start of Nov so 21 days ,we are quite flexible in where we can fly from and to although I would prefer direct flights.
There are five of us 2 adults 1 teen and two kids ,so with all of the above in mind I am thinking of a flight budget off 500max per person.
Anyone with a bit more know than me does this seem a realistic price and round about where I should be aiming for?.
Thank you in advance and advice would be kindly appreciated

I think £500 for a direct flight is achievable if you are truly flexible with your airport choices. Manchester at that price in unlikely for two reasons; the dates include half term, and Virgin is the only airline out of Manchester direct into Orlando now.

If you can fly from a London airport you'll probably be able to get that price. Don't forget to look at booking a BA Flydrive - this can be cheaper than flights alone and if you don't want the car, just don't collect it. If you would consider Tampa airport then I would think you may even get closer to £400 even though it's over half term.
If you would be willing to go indirect you could save money but with three kids in tow I'd stick to direct. Like I said £500 is a decent budget if you can be flexible. If you can be flexible with dates and would be happy with 18/19 nights and could fly out or return on a weekday, savings can be quite notable. We saved almost £100 per person the last time we flew out on a Monday instead if over the weekend.
