Stayed on lake Berkeley in a Dibb advertised villa. It is an older, gated community with a clubhouse and communal pool. the villa was a lovely 3 bed with private pool overlooking the lake.Very easy access to parks, shops, restaurants and walking distance to Walmart ( couldn’t be bothered walking myself) I really wouldn’t waste time with buses going to the parks though but I don’t think you would find this at a villa. You will waste too much time anyway.

Thanks no villa is Kenwood travel as did a package deal they sent us a few to choose from different areas but we liked that one the best.
I also like the idea of the gym as I train martial arts here and use the dojo regularly if I get time is another question but hoping to keep my training up.

It is also walking distance to Midieval Times dinner show which is opposite Walmart - you can often get good discounts for that by looking online.
If I remember the gym at Lake Berkley is in the clubhouse and is small but could be useful and there is also a nice walk around the lake with a beach volleyball court, kids play area, fishing pier and the island in the middle has loads of birds and a "shy" alligator. I am sure there is someone on Dibb who has stayed there in the last couple of years who has posted about Lake Berkley but I can't remember their name. |

We’ve stayed at Lake Berkeley several times, and are returning this summer. The resort is lovely - it’s gated and manned 24 hours. As mentioned, there’s a club house with gym. The lakes are lovely, with a walk around the larger one.
I would advise you will need the hire car for visiting Disney - MK is about 30 minutes drive (the other parks are closer). Turn left out of the resort and turn right onto Ponciana Boulevard (I think!) when going to the parks - cuts out all the lights on the 192. Although Walmart is close, I wouldn’t fancy walking in the summer. If you’re looking for something a bit different, turn right on the 192 for about 1/2 mile and you’ll find Shingle Creek Park - you can hire kayaks and there are some scenic walks you can do.
