Mobile Dining plan

Can anyone tell me if you can add a dining plan into an existing booking and also what type of offers Disney does on the dining plan at All stars. Does it generally save you money to pay for a Disney dining plan? Thanks

You can usually add it but you have to buy park tickets as part of the same package. Disney currently aren’t doing any dining plan offers so you would be paying full price. Or whatever price your travel agent wants to charge. Sometimes it can save you money but mostly it doesn’t. It’s convenient to have food taken care of though.

Who did you book with? Have you booked recently under the free nights offer?

Not booked yet looking at May 2021 but have already got tickets so we wouldn’t be able to do dining plan 😩. Is it possible to buy just 7 nights on the dining plans if you are stopping for 14 in total? 😀

No you need to get it for length of stay. You also need to buy tickets on the UK site so if you already have them you won’t get it. The offer with value resorts has been a free “breakfast” which is essentially a quick service credit. It can be upgraded to either quick service or standard dining plan at a reduced cost but again you need to buy tickets as part of the package. You may be better waiting for a room discount.

Can you cancel the tickets? If not, dining plan is not going to be an option for you, unless you double up on tickets of course. In any case, no you can’t get a dining plan for part of a stay,

Hi
Just a little input on our DDP experience
We had done DDP for 3 years running before deciding to experiment without DDP but pretending we were still on it and buy anything off the menu.
We are a party of 4 adults we like our food and we still ended up spending £800.00 less over a 14 night stay.
On DDP it felt like we had to eat everything going to warrant/justify how much we spent, and always ended up with a freezer full of snacks we just could'nt eat.
Off DDP with most portions being quite big, two of our party would often share a mains.
Not done DDP since.

You used to be able to book what's known as a "ticketless" package but it can only be booked on the US Disney site the downside obviously is that you are at the mercy of the exchange rate for both your Hotel & Dining plan- 3 years ago when the UK DDp was £50 it was nearly £7.50/person/day more expensive in $

Can anyone remember how much it cost to upgraded dinning if you received the free breakfast offer at a value resort?
